We have a fantastic opportunity for the position of Functional Safety Engineer for our Czech Republic Offices.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Functional Safety Engineer who will be responsible for implementing and maintaining functional safety requirements in accordance with ČSN EN 61511-1, ČSN EN 61511-2, and ČSN EN 61511-3 standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in functional safety engineering, with expertise in developing and executing safety lifecycle processes for industrial automation systems.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement functional safety strategies and procedures in compliance with ČSN EN 615111, ČSN EN 61511-2, and ČSN EN 61511-3 standards.

2. Analyse existing or define new safety instrument functions (SIFs) classify them or assess the existing risk and assign the safety integrity level SIL to these functions.

3. Based on the established SIL levels, design the configuration and design of the identified safety functions. Determine the intervals for testing these functions, specify the types of tests, and prepare procedures for performing individual tests.

4. Perform safety integrity level (SIL) determination and verification calculations for safety instrumented functions (SIFs) using appropriate methods and tools.

5. Prepare safety-related documentation, including safety requirements specifications (SRS), safety instrumented system (SIS) design documentation, and safety validation plans.

6. Conduct functional safety audits and assessments to ensure compliance with internal policies and external standards.

7. Stay updated on industry developments and best practices related to functional safety engineering and participate in relevant training and professional development activities.

8. Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Master's degree preferred).

• Knowledge and Experience in functional safety engineering, preferably in the energy sector.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

• Certification in functional safety (preferred but not necessary).

• Proficiency in English and Czech Languages
